We do make a lot of boxy, oversized outerwear, and it absolutely has its place in daily life. But sometimes you want a bit more shape - here she is. We’ve made this style for several clients now, so thought it was time she made it onto our website!
The Maud is one of those ‘It’ jackets that somehow feels cool and effortless despite being quite tailored. It looks just as good with distressed jeans or barrel-leg trousers as it does with a figure-hugging pencil skirt for dressing up.
I particularly love it in lighter shades with dark contrast buttons (we can send you photos), which immediately relax the look and make it feel a little more modern. Self-covered buttons take it in a more traditional direction if that’s what you prefer.
We’ve made Maud in linen as more of a shirt-jacket for a client with a really directional sense of style, and in a heavy wool crepe for a corporate executive. Same jacket, but two completely different attitudes.
