About Us
Reine is a bespoke design company offering a contemporary collection of styles, tailored for individuals who value and invest in exceptional clothing.
Founded by designer Fleur Clarke, Reine is built on deep expertise and a respect for traditional tailoring. Fleur formally trained and specialised in pattern making for 12 years, working with couture and high-end fashion houses before a successful corporate chapter. Her enduring love for fashion, architecture and art eventually led her back to the studio. Reine is the result.
Reine’s design philosophy blends a contemporary collection of silhouettes and must-have styles with luxury fabrics and exceptional construction. The winter and summer collections are available year-round for clients who travel.
The collection styles are used as a starting point to create a personalised garment in fit, colour and detail. Whether clients prefer dramatic, high-fashion proportions or timeless, understated tailoring, every piece is made to measure — proportioned, styled and finished to suit how they want to wear it.
Reine garments are produced entirely in New Zealand using traditional tailoring methods and locally sourced premium fabrics. The process begins in the Herne Bay atelier, where garments are designed, fitted and cut by hand. Sewing is completed by a dedicated Auckland-based team of skilled artisans.
Because every garment is made to order, and only what’s needed is ever produced, the process avoids excess and waste entirely. With no stockpiling or overproduction, we’re able to work with intention, precision and care.
To ensure the perfect fit, clients begin by selecting a style from the collection, followed by a toile fitting — a calico prototype tailored to their proportions. Final garments are produced promptly through streamlined operations, delivering personalised luxury without delay.
