I enjoyed wearing this little shrug on high rotation to wear-test the fabric, and it quickly became more of a shirt than a jacket. I love the lustre of the slubby silk against simple matt, natural fabrics - denim, wool and linen - it elevates them without making the whole thing feel too dressed up.
It feels surprisingly modern worn under a coat, with just the mandarin collar and frog closures showing. We’ve made it in beautiful slubby Italian linen for summer too, which gives it a completely different feel.
We still make a lot of shrugs and little jackets through summer. So many of our clients work in freezing air-conditioned offices, so layering pieces have become a year-round thing.
