I wanted to show our Ellis Car Coat in a check, partly to show that we aren’t completely minimalist all the time!
We have access to countless heavy and lightweight check and herringbone wools. Depending on the pattern, they can look quite traditional or more like a modern street-style coat. And they don’t have to be in dark colours - a neutral beige, khaki and black stripe check looks fantastic in spring.
I love the contrast of a classic check with the relaxed shape of Ellis. It’s the sort of coat you can throw over absolutely anything and not think too much about it.
