Our verified @reine_atelier Instagram account was permanently disabled by Meta on 9 November 2025, after six full days spent appealing their decision.

It’s disheartening, given the thousands of hours (and dollars) we invested in building our presence – and the joy that came with connecting with you.  It was demoralising that Meta refused to accept physical proof, or assurances that our content was in no way 'offensive' or 'in breach of policy' – perhaps they could have simply looked at it, with real eyes.

In June 2025, Fleur’s puppy and sailing accounts were disabled by AI moderation, along with the Reine account.  We managed to have Reine reinstated – but were apparently still linked and guilty by association with the 'offensive' disabled accounts featuring photos of a cute chocolate puppy and yachts, blue skies and the ocean.

Fleur has begun a Designer Journal on Instagram, @the_reine_edit, though it’s unlikely we’ll launch another business account. Meta has advised they can’t guarantee future accounts won’t also be disabled, as they’d be linked to a previously 'offending' account. Thankfully, Meta doesn’t own Shopify – so our website remains safe.

In the meantime, we’ll work towards adding a Studio Journal section on our website, so you can still see our latest bespoke creations and what styles/silhouettes are in development.  We’re mindful that everyone’s busy, so we’re undecided about sending regular email updates. What we loved about Instagram was that you could connect with us whenever it suited you.
