The Lilou Jacket is a double-breasted, cropped style with a tailored boxy fit, yoke cut shoulders, and elbow-length tulip sleeves. Available in Japanese satin crepe or wool, with the option of cow horn buttons or hidden metal snap fasteners.

    At Reine, every garment is tailored to fit you perfectly at no extra cost. Whether you’re based in Auckland or elsewhere, we offer in-person fittings at our Auckland atelier or virtual consultations. For virtual fittings, we can usually send a sample garment for you to try on. We source suitable fabrics in colours you prefer, with each piece made to your exact proportions for exceptional style and comfortable fit.

    DESIGNER'S NOTE

    I first created Lilou in my early twenties after spotting – and missing out on – a beautiful 1960s jacket in an op shop. So I made my own. I wore that original version with Rick Owens leather pants, Costume National boots, and a sheer Zambesi dress.

    Over time, Lilou evolved with me. It became a polished alternative to a blazer in my corporate life, styled with fitted dresses and pencil skirts.

    I’ve always loved its retro shape and minimalist feel – a little Jackie O, a little understated chic. These days, we’ve been making it in satin crepe for evening, and chunky textured wools for everyday wear.
