The Marcel Cape joins our tuxedo and event dressing collection. It's crafted from lustrous Japanese satin crepe, complemented by a lightweight satin lining. The cape features a subtle collar and storm flaps, covered buttons and traditional jet button holes, adding to its effortless chic sophistication.

MADE TO MEASURE

To start the made to measure process, please make an appointment to visit our Auckland atelier, or to organise a virtual fitting - we can send you a sample to try on in most cases. There is no additional charge for custom made garments. We aim to ship custom garments within 1-2 weeks of purchase.

DESIGNER'S NOTE

The concept behind the Marcel Cape emerged from the need for an elegant solution that would complement dresses with intricate full sleeves or elaborate necklines, without the hassle of squeezing and crumpling them into a traditional tuxedo jacket or coat.

Originally designed in 2021, Marcel wasn’t released in our first three collection drops because we introduced our signature Manon Cape which covers the job of being a coat as well. Also, sometimes you can be out of sync with trends, and you’re too early (or too late).

I drape Marcel over evening dresses or pair it with a classic tuxedo shirt and sleek stovepipe dinner pants. Lately, I've been particularly fond of combining it with jeans and mules for a contemporary and chic look. It is a timeless little sweetie.
