Throughout my lifetime, I've owned several exceptional pairs of leather pants, including a pair of Helmut Lang's that, despite being 25 years old, they remain a cherished item that I just can't give away (wish I still fitted them!).

As I am hands-on work in the workroom, I have a particular fondness for leggings as everyday wear. Comfort and practicality are essential, as I need clothing that won't snag on work surfaces.

I wore these leggings every day for four weeks, and they are the closest in appearance to leather that I have found. They are also the most comfortable leggings I have ever worn. We ensured they are super high-waisted to prevent rolling (especially since I now have a tummy post-back fracture). 

Full disclosure: they are not going to last as long as a leather pair will, which is why we have priced them accordingly.  They will however, not give you the 'nappy bottom' or sag around the knees.
