Although I am formally trained and have extensive experience as a pattern maker, there are instances where I choose to design free-hand. In these cases, I believe the emphasis should be on the silhouette, proportion, and sculpture, rather than being solely dictated by mathematical precision and geometry.
When I found this exquisite grey, brushed wool imported from Italy, inspiration struck, and I swiftly sketched the Garance on a piece of card within a mere five minutes. A toile was promptly cut and sewn, requiring only minimal alterations to refine the initial draft. It was an instant love affair.
One of the most gratifying aspects of creating clothing is witnessing the reaction of our clients. People of all ages have tried on the Garance, and immediately felt like glamorous movie stars. This garment holds a truly unique quality, making a divine statement that captivates all who wear it.
